Will Griffin

Hi, I’m Will Griffin! I love learning, and am addicted to finding new connections and parallels- from investigating how the nature of literary narrative could be used to reduce the risk of insider threats, to applying artisanal pencil sharpening principles to resolve cross-department conflicts- and I continually strive to use this passion in ways that give back.

Over the last five years I’ve earned my M.S. and B.S. in Management Information Systems, taken on project management and data science roles with Honeywell, worked on portfolio management solutions with Raytheon, and am now leveraging these experiences to contribute to Z Collective’s education and R&D initiatives.

Having one foot in academia and the other in industry during the current AI boom is like being in the path of totality during an eclipse. In a single day at Z Collective, I might assist students using/researching/publishing about AI, advise professors wrestling with how to approach it in the classroom, and exchange insights with colleagues who are navigating new AI policy creation and implementation. It’s the epitome of “right place, right time” and has given me deeper insights into the innovation itself, as well as connections between the affected parties.

I’m excited to continue learning with Z Collective, mapping out connections between relevant topics in both personal and professional life, and paying it forward!
